The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) requires all cargo transported on passenger aircraft to be inspected and screened. To facilitate this, we provide the following Terms & Conditions for using Hewanorra Express Freight Services Ltd.
US WAREHOUSE
Packages and cargo can be shipped to our US warehouse by any of the following means:
· Postal service
· Hand delivery
· Domestic or International Courier
All packages may ship via air freight unless otherwise informed with advance notice of at least twenty-four (24) hours.
AUTHORIZATION
By registering for our Service, you are authorizing Hewanorra Express Freight Services Ltd. To act on your behalf to import and clear packages through Customs & Excise in the applicable country.
WEIGHTS & RATES
Air Freight
· Air freight rates are calculated using the actual weight of the package rounded off to the nearest lb. For example, a package weighing 5.1 lbs. will be calculated based on a rate of 6 lbs.
· Packages which have total dimensions in inches which are greater than 90, will be calculated based on dimensional weight: length x width x height / 166.
Sea Freight
· Packages being shipped via sea freight are calculated using actual weight measured in cubic feet. Cubic feet is calculated as length x width x heights (in inches) / 1728.
· Sea freight packages not collected or delivered after seven (7) business days will incur rental fees. The customer will be responsible for paying rental fees starting at XCD $5.00 and accruing until the package is collected.
Please note that customers are required to pay all applicable air or sea freight for packages, even those confiscated by Customs & Excise in the importing country.
REFUND POLICY
Hewanorra Express Freight Services Ltd. Does not issue cash refunds. All approved refunds shall be provided in the form of a credit placed towards the shipping of your packages.
Additionally, all deposits made for in-store orders are refundable within two (2) business days and become non-refundable thereafter.
DELIVERIES
Hewanorra Express Freight Services Ltd. reserves the right to refuse delivery of packages to areas deemed unsafe.
LIABILITIES NOT ASSUMED
1. Hewanorra Express Freight Services Ltd. Takes responsibility for your packages and cargo when received at our US warehouse. The company will not be liable for lost, delayed, or damaged packages in transit to the US warehouse.
2. The Company will not be liable for omitted information including but not limited to, the declaration of goods, incorrect addressing of packages such as omission of name and/or account number, improper packaging and any other omissions made by the consignor or consignee associated with the packages.
3. The Company will not be liable to pay any damages for packages which have been paid and have left our premises.
4. The Company will not be liable for damage to packages which have been inadequately packaged. Customers should ensure that suppliers have used the necessary packaging to safeguard and protect the content of packages being shipped.
5. The Company will not be liable in any event for consequential or indirect losses or damages, including but not limited to loss of income or profits, unless such damage was caused by wilful misconduct or gross negligence.
6. The Company will not be liable for any loss, delay, or damage outside of our control, including but not limited to, acts of God, force majeure, or government regulations. Hewanorra Express Freight Services Ltd. Reserves the right, in these cases, to refund freight charges solely at its discretion.
INSURANCE
Hewanorra Express Freight Services Ltd. Offers optional insurance of XCD $2.00 per package covering 100% of the value of the package. Customers must comply with the following conditions to benefit from our insurance policy.
· Our insurance policy only provides for new package contents. Used merchandise will not be covered under the insurance policy.
· Invoices must be submitted for all packages.
· Insurance coverage commences from the time the package arrives at our US warehouse to the time it is delivered to the customer’s home or business.
· For air shipments, insurance coverage remains in effect for up to fifteen (15) days after aircraft discharge.
· In instances where a supplier claims to have delivered a package, for which we have no record, proof of delivery and invoice are required for the Company to issue a refund or repurchase the item. The Company will assume responsibility for the amount stated on the invoice. The customer will be responsible for paying any difference in invoice amounts, freight charges, and customs duties.
HAZARDOUS MATERIALS AND RESTRICTED ITEMS
The Department of Transportation (DOT), International Air Transportation Association (IATA) and International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) have outlined some of the following items as hazardous materials, dangerous goods, and restricted items.
· Household cleaners and aerosols
· Guns and ammunition
· Cash
· Car batteries
· Insecticides and pest control products

Packages classified as “hazmat” must be shipped via sea freight.
ABANDONED PACKAGES
All packages not collected or authorized for delivery after thirty (30) days of being available for collection, will be auctioned to cover all associated costs.
SHOP HEFS
Shop HEFS is an extension service offered by Hewanorra Express Freight Services Ltd. The service allows customers to have merchandise purchased on their behalf by the company. The following conditions apply:
· Customers are required to pay the full invoice amount prior to the confirmed purchase. In addition, customers are responsible for freight and applicable customs charges once the package(s) arrives in the country of import.
· The Company will not be liable for damaged or lost packages from the selected supplier.
· The Company will assist the customer, where applicable, to file claims and disputes in instances where the supplier has not fulfilled their obligations.
· The Company will only provide this customer ordering service using reputable websites.
